BC's had them for a while. Haven't heard any horror stories.

Yippee! - seems the healthcare system is looking for ways to improve service and reduce costs other than outsourcing laundry service and hiring the lowest wage cleaners. One recent enlightenment was a checklist before and after surgery to reduce errors - Seems they never used one before - Nurses perform the checklists to keep the surgeon in check. Looking at billions in savings and thousands of fewer deaths and complications. Handwashing between rooms saving thousands of lives. Next I would like to see blood tests done before you go to see the Doctor for your check-up - The receptionist can hand out the form - get your tests done and then the Doctor knows where to guide your health and what to follow up on - Cuts visits in half - gives Doctor more quality time with a patient. Saves money in the long run.

It's a great idea. They are much more common in the US than Canada and can save a fair bit of money.
