Once again it's a case of national number down and provincial numbers up.
Stats Canada says the country lost a massive 129,000 jobs last month as the
unemployment rate surged more than half a point to 7.2 per cent. This was
the worst monthly labour market drop more than three decades.

But for Saskatchewan, the unemployment rate from December to January
went from 4.2 percent to 4.1. Also, the labour market in the province saw
an increase of 1,600 in the month of January. Breaking it down to the
cities and Saskatoon's unemployment rate jumped from 4.0 to 4.2 percent.
Regina's dropped from 3.6 percent to 3.2.
