U.S. President George W. Bush makes a statement regarding Iraq last Thursday on the Colonnade of the White House in Washington, before leaving to spend the weekend in Kennebunkport, Maine. On Tuesday, White House deputy press secretary Tony Fratto denied allegations the administration forged a letter linking Saddam Husseinís regime to al-Qaida to justify invading Iraq.

WASHINGTON ó The White House and the CIA on Tuesday adamantly denied a report that the Bush administration forged a letter purporting to show a link between Saddam Husseinís regime and al-Qaida as a justification for the Iraq war.Quote has been trimmed
The allegation was raised by Washington-based journalist Ron Suskind in a new book, The Way of the World, published Tuesday. The letter supposedly was written by Tahir Jalil Habbush al-Tikriti, director of Iraqi intelligence under Saddam Hussein.
"The White House had concocted a fake letter from Habbush to Saddam, backdated to July 1, 2001," Suskind wrote. "It said that 9-11 ringleader Mohammad Atta had actually trained for his mission in Iraq thus showing, finally, that there was an operational link between Saddam and al-Qaida, something the vice-presidentís office had been pressing CIA to prove since 9-11 as a justification to invade Iraq. There is no link."
Suskind said the letterís existence had been reported before, and that it had been treated as if it were genuine.
Denying the report, White House deputy press secretary Tony Fratto said, "The notion that the White House directed anyone to forge a letter from Habbush to Saddam Hussein is absurd."
More Sh*t hitting the fan?
"The notion that the White House directed anyone to forge a letter from Habbush to Saddam Hussein is absurd."
^ Absurd? There's a list of Absurdities the Bush Administration has already done in the past. This wouldn't have been anything new from their normal tactics.
"It is well established that, at my direction, CIA resisted efforts on the part of some in the administration to paint a picture of Iraqi-al-Qaida connections that went beyond the evidence,"
^ What Evidence? There wasn't any in the first place except Saddam refusing to allow his country be turned upsidedown for something that was never there to begin with.
"The notion that I would suddenly reverse our stance and have created and planted false evidence that was contrary to our own beliefs is ridiculous."
^ And of course we only have this guys word that he's telling the truth, considdering the acusations are directed to him specifically about lying... how can one believe he's not lying now?
"the White House directed (and CIA allegedly went along with) burying that information so that the war could go ahead as planned."
^ Well that's what Bush wanted. He's now trying the same thing with Iran now..... just because Iran doesn't want their own country turned upsidedown for something they're legally allowed to do, that's justification to sanction them and perhaps goto another war?
One country which is known around the world as being corrupt and dishonest.... the US, is finger pointing and witch hunting any country they damn well wish, and if that country doesn't bend over and take it like a lil bitch, they goto war with them..... regardless of the actual evidence.
There have already been multiple reports, records, quotes, former members of the Bush Administration which can collaberate this acusation based on previous acusations of their own, which were first hand as witnesses...... but all these other people are the ones lying?
*Tosses more Sh*t at the fan* Open your mouth and say "Aaahhhhhh"
