But today the Queen finally seemed to have met her match.
Confronted by Britain's champion gurner Tommy Mattinson midway through one of his grotesque contortions, HRH looked more than a little flustered.

She approached with caution - and an expression of mild distaste.
However, events took an even more bizarre turn when she appeared to join in with the act.
After coming face-to-face with a chair she once sat in 30 years ago, the Queen pulled a face almost worthy of Mr Mattinson himself.
The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh were on a visit to Cumbria to take part in events marking 300 years since the town's foundation.
Highlights of the day included a tour around the Cumberland Pencil Company and a trip to the Breacon Museum in Whitehaven.
