CALGARY -- Amid predictable applause, Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall told a Calgary business audience yesterday that his province has no intention of raising royalty rates in the oil and gas sector.
Just hours into his first official trip to Calgary to drum up oilpatch investment dollars, Wall wasted little time trying to capitalize on residual resentment over Alberta's controversial plans to boost its take from the sector.

Those poor Saskatchewaners. So much change so quickly. Visiting my sister in Weyburn, and friends in Fort Qu'Appelle it was quite obvious that those quiet little towns don't like a whole lot of 'newness'.
