Gas gauge on empty doesn't really mean empty

So, just watched John Stossel on 20/20 drive a car 40 miles after the gas tank said "E" and the digital read-out said "0 miles to empty"

Hmm...guess Kramer was roght in that episode of Seinfeld.

Not something for any intelligent person to count on though. Considering this is December it could be an especially dumb move.

Being a virgo, I'd only do it September myself...

It's a damn good thing too.
