TORONTO - Fisher-Price Canada has announced the recall of nearly 15,000 toys.
Approximately 12,500 English Laugh & Learn Learning Kitchen Toys and 2,400 French versions of the product are being recalled as part of a worldwide recall of 155,000 of the toys.
Small pieces on the faucet and the clock hands could pose a choking hazard to young children.
In Canada, there has been one report of small parts releasing from the clock hand and two reports of small parts releasing from the faucet. Parents are being told to take the affected toys away from children immediately.
The toys have been sold in Canada since May 2007 for approximately $70.
Consumers with the toys can contact Fisher-Price for a free repair kit. For additional information, they can contact Fisher-Price at 1-888-812-7187, or visit the firm's website at www.service.mattel.com.
