I believe everyone has a right to their opinion -- even biggots -- but to turn discrimination into a public fair and march a gay man out of town reminds me entirely too much of the old lynchings of Black people in the South. Can something like that be far behind?

Sheesh!! Um can we make one HUGE distinction here? You cannot compare homosexuality to racism, hating certain genders, being disabled or any other situation where you find yourself with no choice in the matter. It is in no way the same thing!
You may (or may not) have the choice to be attracted to the same sex. But you sure do have the option as to whether or not you act on it. Same goes with pedophilia, adultery, beastiality, etc.
You don't have the choice to be black, white, asian, etc. You don't have the choice to be male or female. Most disabled persons would not choose to stay that way.
If I have a wife or girlfriend I may still like women.I don't all of the sudden stop having a libido. But My ACTIONS decide whether or not i am a cheater. If I believe in a religion that's one thing. But if my ACTIONS based on my religion result in the suffering of people I am evil.
Homosexuality may or may not be a choice. But having a sexual relationship with a person of the same sex is.
So please stop comparing homosexuality to racism, sexism, etc.. It is in no way the same thing.
