Queen Elizabeth II's grandson is set marry a Canadian businesswoman, the palace announced tonight.

Peter Phillips, the 29-year-old son of the queen's daughter Princess Anne, will marry his girlfriend, Autumn Kelly, Buckingham Palace said in a statement.

The couple met at the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal in 2003.

"The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips are pleased to announce the engagement of their son Peter Phillips to Autumn, daughter of Mr. Brian and Mrs. Kitty Kelly," the palace said.

Phillips is 10th in line to the throne, but holds no royal title and does not carry out official royal duties. He works for the Royal Bank of Scotland.

At least he isn't inbreeding...

Zara is quite a hottie though, isn't she?

Lucky for her, her brother got all their mother's looks!

Hmmmmmmm Strengthing the ties within the Empire? Bit of a perk for a Canadian becoming a Royal.

They seem like a lovely down-to-earth couple though - the Royals are blessed with beautiful complexions - the way their cheeks blush in cold weather is so handsome...

So.... who will be marrying an Aussie next...and another a New Zealander?

The concept of royalty is so offensive seriously people being entitled to tax free money and public estates because they happened to be in the right womb at the right time . Royalty is a remnant of the middle ages , a class system which offends the basic principal of democracy . The French had the right attitude in dealing with them.
