French "Youths"

In light of the recent French Presidential elections, is anyone keeping a running total on the number of cars set on fire by "youths" in France?

Erm. I'm not really sure whether I should be confused by the date on the article.

 

[Just the Facts]

Apparently cars have been burning in France for a year and a half now. It just stopped being newsworthy when it got down to 100-200 a night. When Sarkozy promised to do something about it, they threatened to start burning more cars! 8)

Well, I suppose it is one way to keep carbon emissions down to tolerable levels.
