A 16-year-old boy who raped a woman after watching pornography online has been detained indefinitely.
Paul Owens, of Hart Street, Southport, denied rape but was convicted after a trial at Liverpool Crown Court.
The 39-year-old victim was attacked by Owens - who was riding a bike along Town Lane in Southport - after her taxi failed to arrive on 17 June.
Judge Bryn Holloway ruled the boy will not be able to apply for parole for at least three years.
"You are very likely to serve considerably longer," he said.
Owens, who was 15 at the time, dragged his victim into bushes and attacked her before stealing her keys and bank card.
Liverpool Crown Court heard how he had been motivated by watching pornography and sado-masochism on the internet.
Judge Holloway said the youth posed a high risk of re-offending.
