I wasn't raging about Timmies, It amazes me how little respect some people have for those that have sworn to up hold their very way of life. Whether you believe the war is right or wrong, the men and women of our Armed Forces are our first line of defence and our salvation in times of trouble, ie, natural dissasters or major emergency situations. We should respect and honour them always, not just when it suits us.
It's meaningless because it doesn't really offer any support at all. How does wearing a red shirt on friday help soldiers. I think openly debating the war to ensure that we don't put our soldiers at needless risk is a better way to support our soldiers.
And where does it end? Doctors and nurses are very important to saving Canadian lives. Why don't we wear green on thursdays to support our doctors and nurses? And if companies like Tim Hortons doesn't comply they obviously don't support our doctors.
