CNN reported today on the President's summer reading list. One book is titled "The History Of Salt"!

And, no, it's not the Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty - it's SALT!

I guess he prefers mono-syllabic words....

Shouldn't somebody have approved his summer reading list before publishing it? What kind of confidence can you instill with the "history of salt"?

Is Monika still interning for the oval office?

If he reads about the history of salt, then likely he'll learn something about Ghandi. And maybe he'll learn about peace. Salt was, at one time, as important to the world's economy as oil is today. The fact that he's reading says more about him than I would have given him credit for.

I think he's only using "the history of salt" to hide the penthouse he's looking at..........

The history of salt book actually sounds quite interesting, if it's the one by Mark Kurlansky - I've read a couple of his popular histories, both entertainig though not particularly demanding ("summer" reading, I suppose).

Speaking of Bush and books, though,I find the 'upsidedown book' incident to be an endless source of amusement:

answer - too funny. Perhaps his brain is rotated 180 degrees and he sees everything topsy/turvy. Lies become truth.

Are you suggesting that Bush suffers from moral dyslexia?

It's possible, I suppose... :?

Answer - there is only one way to tell. He must be autopsied immediately.

that would solve a lot of problems immediately........and provide a few seriously needed answers at the same time.

( nice one PP2)
