Northern Ontario,
The northern woods thief that will steal food right out of your hand....
commonly called whiskey-jack derived from the Native Canadian name for the bird.

Close ... but they are different species. Steller's jays are Western only and the bigger Blue Jay ranges the East and center of the continent.

We get what are called (around here) Canada Jays (Whiskey Jacks, up North) passing through as transients spring and fall. Blue Jays (not quite as blue as Steller's Jays, but quite a bit larger) hang around all year. We also have Cardinals, all year long and it's not uncommon to see a bright red Cardinal and a Blue Jay alternating at the same feeder full of sunflower seeds, on a snowy day.

Postcard stuff...
