Funny, why is it with this systemic abuse, ( a 100 million payout) like with residential schools ( a 5 billion payout), we have to get the courts to stop something that in the private sector would have been stopped years and years ago?

The huge problem with these payouts is the come from the taxpayers as opposed to payouts from Private business if they are sued for wrong doing.

In the case of the residential schools shouldn't the churches involved be paying these costs?

As for the RCMP these costs could only be realized from the perpetrators and likely would not cover the total but would be a start.....

I agree with you. There isn't an unabused people on the face of earth. All have had thier turns. Of course we want an end to that. There will be a cost possibly brought on by more abuse said to be temporary in nature. Just untill stability is ensured.
