'I'd like to give him a hug': A visit to Friendship Park's U.S./Mexico border fence

Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump has talked plenty about his plans for a border wall with Mexico. But what's there now? Kim Brunhuber visits Friendship Park, south of San Diego, where separated loved ones come to touch pinkies through a grilled fence.

Maybe the USA should just take over Mexico.... and maybe Canada while there at it.. under Trump with his love for Canada so much, I wouldn't put it past him. LOL

What do you mean, there's a fence? And here I thought Trump was going to build one.
There is not "a fence," there are fences or walls along 580 miles of the 1,954-mile border, varying in quality from genuinely impressive barriers to obstructions no more effective than a schoolyard fence. Trump has promised to build a wall from sea (Pacific) to shining gulf (of Mexico).

Yeah, I know that. And in 2006, Congress voted to spend millions making the fence longer/stronger, and 64 Democrats voted in favour of it.

Oh sure, Boomer...............just what the beleaguered nation needs - more problems, lots more problems. And would you kindly quit lobbying for Canada to become yet another state!

Donald Drumpf wants to build a wall on the U.S-Mexico border. Is his plan feasible?

Thumbs up for this one, Boomer. I was in stitches by the end. What I found even more interesting than the myriad reasons why building a wall is a stupid idea, was the numerous laws and acts that the Bush government ignored or overruled in putting up their fences - and for what?

Why, to make it harder for the illegals to leave, of course. That being what they're trying to do. Net migration of illegals is actually back to Mexico.

Trump has a lot of experience pushing politicians into using Eminent Domain and Bullying little old ladies, so Texas farmers for a border fence shouldn't be a problem..
