What is it they say part of America's lost. Rooney had become part of the social fabric
in the minds of the public for some its like they are still there even after retirement.
In this case Rooney was as he kept coming back in re-runs yet somehow frozen in time.

I liked ole Mickey in the Atomic Kid. Especially the part where he is caught in that house making some toast and the a bomb goes off and after the blast Mickey is just standing there with his hair standing up, his clothes torn to shreds and he's still holding that burnt piece of toast.
