I'm going to assume the 'former crack addict' is a result of being in prison. Perhaps the Police will see him as 'resisting capture' and take the appropriate steps to make sure his running days are over.
Why would you expect any sympathy for this guy?

I wouldn't - I don't have much use for people who throw molatov cocktails into the dwelling place of women and children for $60..............or for $6 million.:)

Who is the fool that let him into a resort in the first place?

Taxslave- don't you realize that the man has to be made to feel good about himself, so his rehabilitation can progress, after all he's just another human being who got on the wrong path. :) :) :) :)

Absolutely but you and I both know there will always be 1 or 2% who won't so my solution bypasses this eventuality.

So, he was found guilty of manslaughter. Where exactly do you draw the line for capital punishment? Obviously it's not just for premeditated murder.

How about premeditated mischief where murder is the result?

He can share the same rathole as the guy from Quatsino that burned all his kids to death a few years back.

That f**ker was the worst of the worst...............6 kids! He's probably out by now.

What answers do the bleeding hearts have for this fiasco?

I don't know about bleeding hearts but I do know a little common sense says that there is a little wiggle room between housing arsonists in minimum security facilities, (most likely) giving them escorted day trips by incompetent guards...and killing them. You should try seeing the world in something other than black and white. It may come in handy sometime.

Your solution also leads to a 1-2% screw up which means killing innocent people.
