A carbon tax.

Sound familiar?

It should ? first Stephane Dion? then Michael Ignatieff? and now Justin Trudeau has come out and promised a carbon tax ? a big new tax on everything.

Our Conservative government rejects this expensive new tax ?

Last week, Justin Trudeau stood in Calgary and declared “Canada needs to have a price on carbon.”* He promised a new pricing regime which will come with a massive new bureaucracy and billions in new spending.

Trudeau has been hinting at putting a “price on carbon” since he started running for Liberal leadership. His own Liberal candidates and MPs have openly supported a carbon tax.

Canadians have already rejected this kind of risky “carbon tax” scheme in the past ? but the Liberals just don’t get it.

Justin Trudeau’s risky schemes ? like a carbon tax ? will hurt families and damage our economy. It’s clear that only Prime Minister Harper and Canada’s Conservatives can be trusted to lower taxes and strengthen our economy.

I'm in shock, you mean MentalFloss beat me to it..

BC, Alberta, and Quebec already beat the Feds to it, so you're in good company Bewm. That's a little over 47% of all Canadians.

ETA: Hmm I see Ontario is looking at it as well. That would put it up to 86% of Canadians.

Wow, that's f-cking amazing. How does it differ from the GST/PST already on all forms of energy and every phase of production, distribution, wholesale and retail? What makes it special? What does it do that PST or GST can't?

Nothing more addictive to a Liberal Government than taxes.. it's like crack to a Liberal.

They just think they can manage your money better.,

Cool how much per letter?

The pulp mill back home has a clean steam that rises fast for 1,000ft and then mushrooms out anytime the temp is -30 or something like that. Across the river is a creek and a draw going to the west and the pavement. South facing and the river view is as much uphill as it is back. The zip lines into the sculptured creek 20 minutes from 30,000 people with a lot of money in their pocket and a lot of time and nothing new in a long, long time. Barring a nuclear explosion that would be a good day to have a selfie taken of you at the 'playground' and that cloud in every background shot that visit. 30 mile radias on a still day

We need more taxes to pay for even more pinwheels to pump water out of the tulip fields?
Nobody will know you meant poppies.

You mean 30,000 people actually working ??
Jersy Christ, can't have that.
Let's just tax them to death
or whatever.
Carbonate them ?
Give them caps and then trade them ?
Supply them with .38's like Boomette has so they can
shoot one another.
We gotta get it right.
Can't have it left.
behind.

Never forget Mulroo saying no free trade
Till he got elected
Then we got free trade.
But Stevo, he of the mighty closet
Will not entertain the thought
Of a carbon tax
No
course not.

Ice-age + no fire = black toes, ouch.
Ice-age + fire = hydroponics where CO2 is maxed out, for the plants. (insert subliminal plant, reinforce 19x next 26 hrz, Have a nice Daze, . . . next)

Actually I need them to be out of work and still have money to burn. That's not going to be a problem is it? Considering your part of the haul in and the 'fell for freedom as being something as being what you wanted when you wanted, and that squeaking noise is like an addiction, for almost free, suckers, they want more, I can give them more but having the climax come as a hindsight is never a totally good thing.
