A man was arrested amid claims he threatened to blow up a strip club and shoot any police officers who tried to accost him after the manager tried to take his beer.

Sheriff's Deputies in Cape Canaveral, Florida, US, said 55-year-old Ronald Brightman tried to get into the Lido Cabaret club in Cleveland Avenue with a beer in his band.

When the club manager attempted to take the drink away from him, Brightman, of Brevard County, erupted and began issuing threats of violence, reports News 13.

According to deputies, he threatened to bomb the club.

In addition, Brightman, whose heavily tattooed neck and torso are visible in his mugshot, also threatened to shoot and kill any deputies who tried to arrest him.

The incident took place on Sunday December 28.

Brightman has been charged in connection with the incident. It's unclear when he will appear in court.

You take his beer or bottle if he trying to come into your club with it. If you didn't you'd
lose control of the club within a week. Used to have problems like this in the late seventies
and eighties when I managed nightclubs. Drunken people make all kinds of threat and its
up to those in charge to assess the danger at the time. Take the beer and keep the problem
outside always inform the police and get some information for cops to go on.
The safety op patrons is always a number one concern. We did have threats and one where
they did try to set fire to the place
