Police in Hollywood, Fla., have arrested a career criminal in the stabbing death of a Canadian tourist, according to media reports.
The Sun-Sentinel newspaper reported Domenico Perruccio, 58, had been renting a condo while he waited for his wife to join him for a cruise.
Local police found Perruccio's body at 4:30 p.m. Sunday on a roadside near the Winter Haven Towers condo building.
A witness told the Sun-Sentinel that Perruccio's body was lying on a curb with a trail of blood leading to the middle of the street.
Witnesses came forward with information, which led to police issuing an arrest warrant.
Twane Dobard, 38, surrendered to authorities Monday night.
Members of Perruccio's family are said to be en route to Florida, according to the Sun-Sentinel.
The killing happened just 3 km from the summer home where Torontonians David Pichosky, 71, and Rochelle Wise, 66, were murdered a year ago.
