Colorado tot tests positive for pot
Someone in Colorado didn't waste any time baking a batch of hash brownies just days after marijuana became legal in that state.
Unfortunately, a toddler in Longmont got her hands on one and got sick, CBS Denver reported.
Aida Hernandez, the mother of 2-year-old Evelyn, told the station she suspects her daughter may have eaten part of a pot cookie she found in the grass outside their apartment.
About a half hour after she confiscated the cookie, Hernandez noticed that something was wrong with Evelyn.
“She was asleep, she was opening and closing her eyes and she couldn’t walk really well. She was weak,” Hernandez said.
CBS said doctors at the hospital tested the youngster for THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, and it came back positive.
“They do a blood test and that’s when they told me. That was a surprise,” Hernandez said. “It’s everywhere now that it’s legal they have it everywhere.”
A police search of Hernandez’ home came back clean for marijuana and officers say they believe the mother’s claim that she doesn’t use the now-legal drug.

Another silly headline by people obsessed with living in the past
I remember when Obama was first elected the only thing they
could find against him at the time was that he smoked cigarettes
and it made the news for Gods sake. What would be worse that
brownie or the processed food they fill the kid with so people
don't have to take the time to cook real food.
the newspapers which are supposed to be about new spend their
day looking for news to entertain us.

A new marketing idea,Gerber's marijuana baby food.

Works as a sedation, while increasing appetite of course it will be fortified with all the essential vitamins.

Sugar is the gateway drug. It is the first altered state of consciousness most of us experience.

And being a big rig driver, don't you haul reefers (or is that spelled differently)? Are you mad about reefers?

Yup the only thing the main stream media would dare print against their chosen candidate was that he smoked cigarettes .

Of all the things her kid could have eaten off an apartment lawn, this sounds like a happy ending.

THC and its metabolites are lipophilic, which means that, unlike cocaine, meth, etc, they stay in the bloodstream for days or even weeks. Detecting THC (or metabolites) doesn't tell you much. It could mean they are high right now, or that the person walked by someone exhaling pot a week ago.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the long run! Will the pros balance out the cons?
