Our Schools Are Run By The Insane: Big-Nanny Bans Kindergarten Students From Touching One Another

If you are a Kindergarten student at Coghlan Fundamental Elementary, playing tag or holding your friend's hand will get you sent to the principal's office.

Langley School District has banned Coghlan Kindergarten students from all forms of hands-on play, including taq and all imaginary play.

On Friday, a letter was sent home to parents of all Kindergarten students telling them their kids are banned from all forms of hands-on play. The ban doesn't impact any other grades at the school.

Oh FFS. Instead of taking the opportunity to set boundaries with how far things go in the school yard, they're just going to ban them for a year. Awesome idea! That way, next year in the first grade, they'll have learned nothing and will be doing the exact same thing that resulted in a banning this year.

Monumentally stupid, just really unbelievable.

But how are they going to teach and run the school then?

They are not permitted to run- Injuries occur from running. Now properly bubble wrapped, why they can roll till their hearts delight.
And learn that is exactly how they must go thru life. Teach them early.

We are going beyond stupidity to downright unhealthy behaviour. Humans who do not touch end up mentally ill.

I'm thinking these rule makers might be facing a Children of the Corn future.

"Langley School District spokesweasel Ken Hoff said the decision to temporarily ban hands-on play stemmed from concerns made by some parents about rough play on the playground".

"Excuse me, teachers, we'd like you to do your jobs please."

"Yeah, no, how about we just make up another stupid rule that makes it the kids' problem instead of ours."

One thing that was over looked here this school is a fundamentalist school
These schools were supposed to be different from public educational schools
and use common sense. Any fool knows touching and even being a little
agressive is part of a childs learning process We learn what not to do as well
as how to behave. Again as parents, grand parents and the general public
we opened the door to foolishness when we didn't say no way when it came to
throwing snowballs at school. For each time we roll over we give these people
more opportunity to gain more power over a society.
It is time we insisted tehy punish offenders and not everyone else. It happens
in towns and villages as well. There's a riot we don't allow celebrations instead
of punishing the offenders. Kelowna is a prime example. We used to have a
Regatta every summer, there was a riot one year and they cancelled the Regatta
it never found its former place. It is time for adults to stand up and say enough.
