it happened so fast, just like here in Kitchener when we got a months worth of rain in under 20 minutes...

that water looks pretty gross

What kind of moron drives a bus into a flooded underpass? My dad was a driver for over 30 years and that is a big no-no.

Did the bus come first or the water? I think the water came up very fast so the underpass may have been clear or clearer when the bus entered.
that's exactly what I think happened too...it hammered down so quickly the storm drains flooded and then all hell followed...did you lose power...my girlfriend got hers restored about 3 AM?

We were in Scarberia where we good a medium size T-storm. No power outage. No flooding. The boy's baseball game was cancelled due to the T-storm but other than that no impact on our lives.

There would have been had there not have been a water main break that cut off water to our office building for the day. About 1PM somebody realized that without water, the fire suppression system wouldn't work and therefore the building wasn't safe so they closed it and sent us home. We missed the subway being shutdown and all that other fun stuff because of that.

I can swim...lol...it's weird how it looks though as if it's coming down literally in sheets...on my side of the building I had my balcony door open and not even a drop came into the living room, on the other side of the building even with the doors closed it leaked...Toronto got it worse though

Did the bus stop there for a while and wait for the water to rise. Maybe you have never driven through an underpass but it takes all of 3 or 4 seconds at most normally.

Not in Toronto. You can spend minutes crawling through traffic particularly near downtown. The underpasses are not just for 2 or 3 tracks but probably 25-30 tracks.

Yeah, first Calgary now Toronto.. yup, NOOOOOO Climate Change happening here..

Warming atmosphere, more moisture in the air, strong storms, tornadoes 2.6 miles wide, stronger rain storms.. couple more years of this and even the naysayers (Petros) will be singing a different tune.
