Good on China to have posted the genomic data so early; CDC is working on a vaccine right now using that data. They seem to be learning their lessons when it comes to sharing crucial medical data.

Wolf! Wolf!
Don't be silly, no one is crying wolf, it is simply a news item that concerns many people. I think China is to be commended for acting on this very serious health threat to their people and letting the world know about a potential health problem. There has been no human-to-human transmission yet but that slight mutation in the virus could become a serious world wide problem. It's good to get started right now developing a vaccine because it takes months to develop a vaccine and ramp up production.

After SARS they had to. But a web service, similar to Twitter as Twitter is illegal in China had posts that not all cases are / were made public. Those posts were removed by censors.
