All he wanted is free content for Internet users so he stole it now he was going to go to jail for a long time so he killed himself.

Not quite, he hadn't gone to trial yet and he suffered from depression.

According to his blog: "Once again, I’ve been sick — this time, with four different illnesses."

Depression affects the whole body, it isn't just a mind set that those suffering from it can just shake off.

Too bad, he was just a kid and very bright at that. Doesn't sound like he was in treatment although it doesn't say that.
