Here is something that highlights the difference in the way things are done on Canada and the US. The US buys back guns they want to remove from circulation and Canada registers, then Prohibits and steals them.

They can have my GAU-8 Avenger for a good price (about $350K). They can't have my Leopard, though. It's fun to play with in tourist hunting season.

You're name on a list as a gun owner is open to abuse.. as the link below shows you.. newspapers listing names of gun owners online and their home address.
