A top Mountie who was transferred to B.C. without demotion despite crimes and misconduct including assaulting a subordinate officer and terrifying his family, and then resisting and threatening non-RCMP cops during a drunken rage, has now resigned from the force.
In June, The Province first reported on the case of a 45-year-old Saskatchewan Mountie who was transferred to B.C. after admitting to assaulting a fellow officer during a drunken binge in March 2009. ‘Last-chance’ Mountie resigns

I was wondering the same thing.

I would imagine even with all the misconduct and criminal actions,he would retire with full pension benefits.

If he is fired he would not get pension I think but if he resigns that is usually done in order to
get his pension instead of taking the whole thing up the ladder.
If that were the case no its not fair but at least we took one more bad cop off the street so it
does not fly in the face of other good officers that work the streets everyday.
One person can do a lot of damage to the reputation of any organization and the sooner they
weed out the bad ones the better it will be
