Premier defends bill for unused London hotel rooms - Calgary - CBC News

What a god damn crock of sh*t.........................rooms for $850 a night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two years ago I spent 3 nights in about the swankiest room you'll find at the Chateau Granville in Vancouver for $60 a night, now I will admit it wasn't at the time of the Olympics, but still it's way beyond the pale. The more I read about Premier Redford, the more elated I am with Christy. Now I fully understand why she needs every cent she can get from the proposed pipeline!

Yes this is excessive, but praising Christi Clark in the same breath is not a fair
comparison at all. Redford has a clue about what's happening Clarke is at
best grandstanding. Christi is trying to create a situation out of nothing for the
reason her government has nothing to offer. Instead of being an advocate for
BC she is trying to put a price on the the environment in hopes of winning a few
seats in May. Her government has had its fifteen minutes, after the HST lie
the government lost it credibility. The second blow came when they paid the
legal fees of those who plead guilty in the BC Rail incident was another problem.
The mountain is now too high.
As for Redford, she wants to use BC as the dumping ground for oil if something
goes wrong and Christi will oblige for a price. Neither of these women really
cares about the future. Exporting raw materials has to end and we should be
very selective who gets any of our left over oil. Canada's needs must come first.
The rental situation is part of the ongoing cycle of government and the rooms are
pocket change in terms of government expenditures at least that is the way they
view it. For you and I it is a mystery as to how they view it but such is the way
of government. Hopefully we can begin to change minds, and that is done only
if we express our opinion with a ballot at election time, with a clear message
this is not acceptable Mind you, the only other real choice in voters minds was
the Wild Rose Party and what a cruel joke that would have been.

1. Three of Christy's five conditions were to do with the environment.

2. & 3. Christy inherited these debacles from Campbell.

4. Yeah, the price require should there be a mess to clean up (but she is doing her home work in getting advice on the safest way to proceed and get an estimate on possible mishaps)

She's actually in a no win situation, Grumpy, if she had have gone along with Redford we'd never hear the end of the screaming!

Back to the main issue.....................rooms............that should NEVER have been allowed to happen.

Alberta taxpayers sent Alison Redford to the Olympics. Sadly, she didn't bring back a gold medal - just a big bill.
