New hallucinogenic drug 25B-NBOMe and 25I-NBOMe led to South Australian man's bizarre death

A NEW drug causing bizarre and irrational behaviour has emerged in South Australia, and has led to the death of a man who killed himself by repeatedly running into trees and power poles.

The two drug types - known as 25B-NBOMe and 25I-NBOMe - were responsible for the death of a man in the Mid North in March, who died from injuries sustained after running into fixed objects, trees and Stobie poles as a result of an overdose.
In the past 11 days, there were two non-fatal overdoses - also in the mid-north of the state - in young adults who were related to each other.
Drug Investigation Branch Acting Detective Superintendent Derryn Phillips said the relatively new drug was believed to be made in China and bought over the internet.
She said its long and short-term health issues, and its presence interstate, were unknown.
The drug is a derivative of potent hallucinogens, 2CB and 2CI, both banned substances in South Australia. They are marketed similar to LSD.

more trendy fun

Shrooms, LSD and Salvia is where I draw the line.

Salvia was screwed up enough as it was.... LSD is impressive but lasts a bit too long. That and more than one hit gets crazy like salvia.... Shrooms are the lesser of the three I find, bit more controllable, more mellow, etc.

Why you'd need to go beyond those three well established "Mystery Machine" joy rides is beyond me.

Though it's been quite a few years since I did any of the above... What with a relationship and new born & all.

God damn responsibilities :P

Because when the reasonable things are illegal, people discover unreasonable things that the government hasn't yet decided to lock people in cages for using.

Yeah, last I checked, Salvia was still legal and can be bought in most smoke shops / pipe stores..... in Canada anyways. Not sure if anything changed since I left Canada though.

tried it once....and even though it only lasts for about 5-8 minutes, it was more intense and much more screwed up than two hits of LSD...

I won't be doing it again.... I prefer to have some control over what's going on and not be a complete veg the whole time.

Check out some YouTube videos of people trying that stuff... it's messed.
