Considering "Hitler" is a family name, we need to ask, which among the possibly thousands if not more "Hitlers" is he referring to? Maybe Hitler was the last name of some guy he'd met years ago and the name stuck but he can't remember where he got it? :)

Yeah but one thing from the guy's excuse,if he did not know who Hitler was,why did he put the infamous symbol on the name/logo of the store.

From link:
The outlet, which sells Western men's wear, opened 10 days ago in Ahmedabad city in the western state of Gujarat with "Hitler" written in big letters over the front and with a Nazi swastika as the dot on the "i".
Dot's a pretty good indication....

Maybe a Hindu or Buddhist Swastika? Maybe the "Hitler" he met was from a mixed marriage or converted? :)

"Hitler" clothing store creates outrage for some reason

An Indian clothing shop owner is pleading innocence this week after his store, called "Hitler," outraged residents and drew strong criticism from the area's Jewish community in Vastrapur.
The storefront bears the name Hitler, in large letters, with a swastika dotting the 'i' in "dictator."
According to AFP, the outlet, which opened 10 days ago in the western state of Gujarat, sells Western men's wear.

The Nazi usage of the Swastika is what is being used at the store, as when they usurped it, they inverted it to what it looks like.

This gentleman is really doing his best to disprove the old adage that 'there's no such thing as bad publicity.'
