You might not have heard much about this since the MSM is basically ignoring it:

Having organized 43 plaintiffs—including the archdioceses of New York and Washington and the University of Notre Dame—to file 12 different lawsuits against the Obama administration last Monday alleging the administration is violating the religious freedom of Catholics, the Catholic bishops of the United States are now preparing Catholics for what may be the most massive campaign of civil disobedience in this country since the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s and early 1960s. “Some unjust laws impose such injustices on individuals and organizations that disobeying the laws may be justified,” the bishops state in a document developed to be inserted into church bulletins in Catholic parishes around the country in June.

“Every effort must be made to repeal them,” the bishops say in the document, which is already posted on the website of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. “When fundamental human goods, such as the right of conscience, are at stake, we may need to witness to the truth by resisting the law and incurring its penalties.”

The bulletin insert reminds Catholic parishioners that the bishops have called for “A Fortnight of Freedom”—which they have described as “a special period of prayer, study, catechesis, and public action”—to take place from June 21 to July 4.

Petros, you truly are a bigot!

And Locutus, you must spend all of your waking hours trolling the Internet for obscure blogs, which YOU believe are actual news reports. This is OPINION, by the writer, not news.

Thanks chum. Usually only amounts to about 10 minutes. Après my morning porn and a few cigarettes, I'm rarin' to go. Simply open about 20 Firefox tabs with my extensive opinion-troll linkages and my vast deep web network of questionably-sourced non-news sites.

It's no trouble at all really. I enjoy my work.

You'd be surprised why many of my threads wind up in the 'news' forum.

Anywho...thanks for noticing and have a nice day.

It is time that religion of all persuasions was put on notice they are no better or
above anyone else and must obey the law of the land.
The fact is the Catholic Church needs a huge distraction right now, they are in
fact embroiled in a huge Vatican Scandal that goes right to the Pope's front door.
We don't hear too much about that yet do we?
The very crap they are engaging in, hysterical nonsense is the reason I left the Church
a long time ago. In my view the Catholic Church and some of the fundamentalist
Christian brothers IE, the Southern Baptist Convention are every bit of a problem as
the other fundamentalist groups, Muslims and others that believe they are the truth
the light and the way and even governments can't touch them. Fundamentalist
Mormons the break away sects were recently given a message and their leadership is
jail where they should be.
In fact the freedom the churches have had led to everything from the residential schools
to the sexual exploitation of children. Me thinks they protest too much.
