In what may become a new aid to law enforcement, an Alsace Manor man who bought synthetic drugs from a Reading store has filed a product-liability suit against the business and its owner, claiming the so-called bath salts he bought led to intense headaches, violent shaking, intense paranoia and a host of other permanent afflictions.

Andrew Yeager filed the Berks County Court suit on April 30 against Nirvana's Closet, 1100 Rockland St., and its owner, John B. O'Keefe of Frackville, Schuylkill County.

Yeager claims the bath salts, which are synthetic drugs, had insufficient warnings and that store employees, knowing Yeager and every other customer would snort them to get high, breached an implied warranty that they were safe for use.

He's seeking more than $50,000 in compensatory and punitive damages.

if it is an off label use, then consumer beware. If this law suit wins, watch out lysol, elmers, and 3M.

It could be an interesting case. they aren't actual bath salts, they're synthetic drugs, and there's no purpose to them except for human consumption, so labelling them as 'not for human consumption' is a bit of a stretch.
