When a thief stole Barry Monaghan's keys and sped off in his car he didn't realise he had met his match.
The brave grandfather clung desperately onto the back of his Ford Mondeo as it travelled at an incredible 80mph hurtling along country roads in scenes straight out of a James Bond movie.
He then managed to climb inside the boot and wrestle the carjacker until the thief finally gave up and fled.
The 60-year-old retired firefighter said: 'I had my hands round the guy's neck and I told him I'm not letting go.
'I kept saying to him you've lost mate, give up, but he kept swerving into the other side of the road trying to loosen my grip.
