News of the gruesome deaths drew a stern reaction from Iraq's prominent Shia cleric, Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, who criticised the stoning of the young men as 'an act of terrorism.'

You disagree with the cleric? Why?

You disagree with the cleric? Why?

Nope, just with the extremely high proportion of murderous lunatic idiots in the religion.

see Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, the Taliban, Boko Haram, al-queda, Hamas, Hezbollah, and closer to home the Canadian Arab Federation, Palestine house, CAIR Canada.....

And this does not frighten you?

jesus camp trailer - YouTube

Yes, I find that disturbing.....

But does it scare me??

No.

When was the last time a Baptist stoned a group of boys to death....or flew an airplane into a building.......or hanged a homosexual...or threw acid in the face of a schoolgirl.......or butchered their own daughters for having a boyfriend.......or blew themselves up in a public area for no discernable reason......or rioted and killed over the burning of a bible.....or rioted and killed over a cartoon.......or condemned an author to death over his writing.........or tried to murder a cartoonist........or entered a holy building with bombs and guns and shot and killed the congregation.......or indulged in FGM........or kidnapped a girl of another religion and forced her into marriage and conversion....or stoned to death a rape victim.......or executed someone for witchcraft...........or or or

Well, you get the idea.

It's not the religion that I'm fed up with, but the act committed rather.

The act springs from the religion, pure and simple.

ISLAM means submission, and it brooks no violation......nor any variation.

Colpy is unable to grasp the concept that the religion and the society are not one and the same. It really does confuse him when one brings up Kosovo, Albania or Kazakhstan because it doesn't seem to fit with his ideology.

No, you are not able to grasp the concept that Islam is different from Christianity.........in Christianity, gov't and society and religion are not one and the same.

In Islam, there is no valid culture or gov't apart from Islam.

It is the major difference in the religions, and is the reason the Islamic world is stuck in the year 1299........

You are completely and utterly wrong but you are far to stupid to be educated on the matter. As I have said before, Kosovo would not be what it is today if you were right nor would Turkey for that matter.

That's like saying Christianity doesn't have a range of members from fundies to idealists. Sorry, but there's a wide range of beliefs in Islamists.

NTM that not all of them are particularly fond of Sharia either.

Once again...

When was the last time a Baptist (even a hard-core whacko fundamentalist Baptist from Westboro) stoned a group of boys to death....or flew an airplane into a building.......or hanged a homosexual...or threw acid in the face of a schoolgirl.......or butchered their own daughters for having a boyfriend.......or blew themselves up in a public area for no discernable reason......or rioted and killed over the burning of a bible.....or rioted and killed over a cartoon.......or condemned an author to death over his writing.........or tried to murder a cartoonist........or entered a holy building with bombs and guns and shot and killed the congregation.......or indulged in FGM........or kidnapped a girl of another religion and forced her into marriage and conversion....or stoned to death a rape victim.......or executed someone for witchcraft...........or or or

You are such a ****ing moron....

Dont argue with me Dickhead, argue with Naill Ferguson, professor of History at both Harvard and Oxford, and the pre-eminent historian in the world today...

read Civilization: the West and the Rest......

Dedicated, btw, to Ayaan Hirsi Ali.

You're out of your depth dumbass, so just STFU.

If you were intellectually competent, you'd probably be able to keep a civil tongue in your head....but as you are neither civil nor competent, you are beneath consideration.

Yes, because in a truly secular country, we don't take marching orders from religious leaders. The government makes laws that make practices such as those you mentioned unlawful. They'll go to jail here.

It is society. Uganda, over 85% of whom are Christian, a Christian country. They were set to pass a bill that would make homosexuality a crime worthy of the death penalty until the global condemnation. And not just the law, in society at large newspapers published pictures of known homosexuals with captions calling for their death. Homosexuals have been attacked and murdered by bigots, just like your news story from Iraq.

Which is the point...

The Christian view is "render unto Caesar what is Ceasar's and unto God what is God's'........a separation of responsibility.......

There is none in Islam. Sharia is the law, and the gov't bows to the will of Allah........Islam means submission, and yes, they MEAN it.

As for Uganda, you really had to reach there, didn't you??? And the bill did not even pass.

Here is the diff........in Islam, those stoning homosexuals and adulterers would be good Muslims, obeying the law of Sharia.

In Christianity...."Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone"...........the bigots are not behaving in a Christian manner.

The point being is that not all Moslems are fundies just as not all Christians are idealists. Not all Moslems follow Sharia. If you want to call them bad Moslems, that's fine but that does not change the fact that a lot of them are peaceful and tolerant.

Sorry....complete FAIL.

The guy in Oregon has not been convicted, no one was hurt, and it was a property crime.

Nobody convicted in Texas, no one was hurt, and it was a property crime. (although this is the closest you come, there have been acts of violence by anti-abortion activists.......to prevent what they see as murder)

Terror and aggression in India???? From an obviously incredibly anti-Christian source???? Which lists mere suspicion of one murder, and accusations of child molestation by Christian perverts?? Really???

The Euro report does not even LIST Christian terrorism in it's groupings of terror attacks....because none exists.

Breivik denied his Christianity in his lunatic "manifesto". Right from the horse's mouth.

Oh, here is the last TWO DAYS of Islamic actions..

2012.03.09 (Yala, Thailand) - Muslim 'rebels' kidnap two local soldiers from their post, tie them up and then execute them. 2012.03.08 (Ashaka, Nigeria) - Civilians are among seven dead when Boko Haram cadres attack two banks and a police station. 2012.03.08 (Sokoto, Nigeria) - Fundamentalists murder two European engineers in captivity. 2012.03.07 (Baghdad, Iraq) - Two young women are murdered on suspicion of being lesbians. 2012.03.07 (Karachi, Pakistan) - An Ahmadi is gunned down in a targeted attack at a market. 2012.03.07 (Peshawar, Pakistan) - A Taliban bomb planted in a sewer takes out a 9-year-old child.

Besides the Emo killings.....

The point being is that not all Moslems are fundies just as not all Christians are idealists. Not all Moslems follow Sharia. If you want to call them bad Moslems, that's fine but that does not change the fact that a lot of them are peaceful and tolerant.

Absolutely.

There are bad Muslims. Thankfully.

Which doesn't change the fact that fundamentalist Islam is on the rise, and the barbarians are at the gate....as always.
