I think the bigger question is about our own ethics and morals in view of being
confronted with the truth. Why do we need an ad to ask the question? People
companies and governments should not have to be prompted to do the right
thing. And TV networks used to have some courage and guts.
The way I see it, governments and companies should in this case demonstrate
they are in favour of human rights and call the Saudi bluff of court action. This
would force the Saudi position and practices out into the light of day and the
world could share the information about what scum bags they really are.
On the international stage, its time to confront the bully as it were.
As for ethical oil, the world runs on oil. Even those who preach against oil and
the continued or increased production of it, use plastic equipment to type the
messages out on, so get used to oil as long as we have it that is.
