A friend of mine, a Japanese nurse who lives here, just left this morning to go back to Japan to help out in the hot zone. Her family still live there and her grandmother lives in or near the hot zone. All I can say is, she is one of the bravest people I know.

Hey, anybody remember Haiti?

Anybody remember New Orleans?

Yes I agree that after a while, these type of things do kind of drop off the face of the planet after a while..... but also, to sound a tad heartless.... I also get sick of hearing about them for weeks on end and everything else in the world seems to go un-noticed.

Though in the defence of the Japan reporting, I did come across a report about a worker dying at the Nuclear plant just a couple of days ago. The reporting on the crisis has died down a bit, but it's still being reported.
