The Sparrow: A timely read for this forum

This week I've read a book called The Sparrow, by Mary Doria Russel.

It was a timely read given the hot topics of this forum.

Faith, celibacy, alien contact, politics... yes... all that and more. Well crafted and a truly interesting read. I had initially thought to just suggest it to a select few who I feel would enjoy it, but, I think it is a worthwhile one to recommend to nearly everyone... and I don't often recommend books.

Gonna look for that book tomorrow....Looks like the kind of book I liked to read before that damned detached retina I had 12 years ago, that makes it hard for me to focus at close range for more than ten minutes at a time. The summary I read on wikipedia was interesting
