Susan Boyle has an album coming out and this is, I think, the first song. It is a slow number but very easy to listen to:

It's a hell of a lot easier to listen to than the Stones version.

In case anyone was wondering what happened to Susan Boyle, she is alive and well and she seems to be having the success that most people thought she deserved.

I would guess that her first album is going to break many records and probably make her a millionaire. I will certainly be one of those cheering.

When she got word that her first album was likely to sell a million or more copies, she went to one of the most expensive stores in London (Harrods)and bought a couple of dresses. Maybe she finally believes she's made it.

Streisand obviously thinks she can stand there and do anything and she expects an applause and a standing ovation. Doing this number she was a joke.

I went out and bought Susan's first album today. It is apparently selling light hotcakes. It is breaking all sales records in Europe and on this continent. I've listened to all twelve songs and I have no doubt that first album will make her a lot of money. Good for her.

Thanks for this post Juan and for reminding me about Susan Boyle. I hope I get the time to buy her CD before Christmas. So much to do and so little time. No sign of snow yet and still clear cold skies. I hope it passes over.
Did you ever get your HlN1 shot? My whole family has now had them (all who live here anyway). My doctor says that the next bad wave was to hit in March but now they are saying January. I hope it never comes at all.

Yes I got the H1N1 shot yesterday after procrastinating for about a month. On Tuesday I will get the ordinary flu shot in the other arm and that will be about all I can do about the flu...which ever kind. I just have to stay away from those passing the infection for another 10 days or so.....

I have 2 daughters who are singers (one in opera) and they were the ones that brought Ms. Boyle to my attention originally, and I'm glad they did.

I have a friend over in Japan who is sending me the new CD (it's in English, of course) that was just released over there. She's taking Japan by storm too! What an incredible natural talent.

no one gave her a chance because of her looks now she is famous and she looks good.

A lesson to all those talent agents who passed her by which is the product sells the person can be improved

And she's certainly had her own personal problems over the years. Which makes it even more exciting to see her conquer all that she's had to endure and become a huge success. She exudes what some people call "positive energy" in spades...she's bringing a lot of listening pleasure to people all over the world.

And just imagine the inspiration she must be bringing to all those young singers out there who might otherwise avoid the pursuit of a singing career because of their looks or some other drawback...go for it!!!

As near as I can tell, her album has broken all records and is still going strong. Somebody suggested that sales of this CD will likely hit 4 million over Christmas.

We were all hoping Susan Boyle would make it big time because we thought she deserved it. To all those who were hoping for her success.....Susan Boyle has already made over five million pounds from her first album.

At one time it would have been sacriligious to put Striesand second in anything but her version of "Cry Me a River"is just not up to Susan Boyle's .

I read in the news today that Susan Boyle's first album was a huge success. Enough of a success for her to get a check on her birthday for five million dollars. That is good to hear. The promises have turned into cash.

Just a short update.

Boyle's latest album "the Gift" will probably make her a few more millions. I'm glad to see she is having some success after her late start.

I don't even know her and she has been like 'my best friend' since the audition in 2009. I like to watch that audition every so often and have her second CD now. I would never buy that many Xmas songs by anybody else!!! Nosireeee!
Susan is a joy to behold...fainting at hearing she was going to sing for the POPE then gets carted off in a golf cart for a medical check-up singing chattanatta-choo-choo-....God bless her ! What a treasure!
