The utter nonsense of anything by Michael Moore's autobiographical jewels like "Sicko" and "'Stupid White Men" (hey, maybe that was a FUNNY book).

It's been a while since we exchanged ideas on this thread. One comedy that will always be among my faves is The Gold Rush (1925):

There are so many great scenes in this movie! Chaplin felt it was his masterpiece.

Those religious movies are a hoot, too. Especially the ones with Charlten Histin (or whatever his name is) in them.

I'd like to add Airplane and a couple other Leslie Nielsen movies to those.

Something new to add to the list:

Hot Fuzz - I know it's three years old, but I watched it for the first time last month. It is the funniest 'new' movie I have seen in years and easily surpasses 'Shaun of the Dead'. [includes 'Spoilers!']

YouTube - The Very Best of Hot Fuzz

If you've seen the movie and you ever wondered what was on the other side of Nick Frost's flipbook:

Heres a two for one Duck Soup - Marx Brothers & Duck Soup (Another Fine Mess) - Laurel & Hardy. Late 20's early 30's comedy was great it had to be to take peoples minds off the economic situtation.
