Who gig in Leeds again
Harewood House -
THE Who are to play their first gig in Leeds since a concert there turned the group into rock legends 36 years ago.
The 1970 album Live At Leeds is rated among the best-ever live records.
Now surviving members Roger Daltrey, 61, and Pete Townshend, 60 — who have never been back — plan an open-air gig in the city in June.
More than 2,000 students crammed into the refectory at Leeds University for the first gig and 1,000 listened on the roof.
The June concert will take place in the grounds of stately home Harewood House.
