LONDON -- Daniel Craig was unveiled Friday as the first blond James Bond and only the second Englishman to star as Agent 007 in the movie series.
Craig's selection was revealed as he was brought down the River Thames aboard a military boat to a news conference for the upcoming Bond movie "Casino Royale," wearing the spy's trademark tuxedo and dark glasses.
"Casino Royale" is expected to be released next year.

Albert R. "Cubby" Broccoli and Harry Saltzman

have finally become senile. Daniel Craig is not James Bond material. I know this is childish but this guy is all wrong for the part.

tenny, way too funny. the guy is really pretty wrinkley. i hate to think if his 'better parts' are that way too! ooohh, i guess we have to wait for the actual movie to have a good lookee. nah, they could've done way better than this one.

i bet his teeth are crooked too! 8O

I am sorry that Pierce Brosnan gave up the play, with Sean Connery, they are the most representative "James"

Very sad indeed, I thought it was him who decided to quit. However it won't be the same without Pierce!

Within arms reach of the new baby..
I dunno, I think this guy might be good. I was really pulling for Clive Owen (yummy!), but I do like Daniel Craig, he's a good actor. I guess we'll see what we see.

I do, however, agree completely with Ocean that Sean Connery was the one and only TRUE Bond!

Somehow, this guy Craig turning around and saying,"My name is Bond, James Bond" in his somewhat high voice doesn't cut it.

The Bond franchise hasn't done as well the last few years and they are desperately trying to attract more movie goers to the next Bond flic,so they've chosen some hotter younger actor. Brosnan is in his 50's and wouldn't be a draw to the teen girls :)

I saw him in some trashy BBC drama, he can't act and yes now you come to think of it, he does look like Putin.

Quiet franky all the latest ones have made me sit on the edge of my seat waiting for Brosan to be killed :p

"The Living Daylights" has to be my best Bond.
