I couldn't help but notice that the local outlet has for sale such series as Six Feet Under,Deadwood,Oz,Sex And The City,and The Sopranos. What has happened to this onetime Christian values themed shopping giant? Is it just a case of money talking over everything else? They used to be famous for selling only the clean versions of movies and music..some of these shows would have nothing left to air without all the smut

That is simply another example of the mercenary mind of retail. I really could care less what they sell I hardy ever go into one of Walmarts stores and could live quite comfortably without their existance...............

Gimmie a break :roll: Six feet under is a aclaimed series, and sex is in the city is outstanding...not much room in that narrow hallway I guess.

WalMart used to force the producers to cut all the sexual scenes from any film that was to be sold there[and all the swearing,too!] I laughed when I found out that all the violence in any film was left intact. I'd rather people watched some sexy scenes instead of the gory and violent ones.

Wall-Mart Christian? Paying there employees below the poverty line? Closing stores leaving there employees without work because they wanted a union? Doesn't sound very Christian to me.

The story goes that old Sam had tried to get a job at KMart and was turned down,so he started the Walmarts just to get even..very Southern Baptist and Old Testament of him.

I believe that WalMart has different censorship policies in Canada vs the US. I noticed that they had 'The Darkness - Permission to Land' CD uncensored here, but I was pretty sure that the reason the censored CD even existed was for retail sale in US WalMarts.
