‘Hamilton’ actor Brandon Victor Dixon on Twitter: ‘St. Patty's day weekend is like Christmas for black dudes who like white chicks’

Hamilton star Brandon Victor Dixon may be refusing to apologize to U.S. vice-president-elect Mike Pence for calling him out from the stage on Friday night, but he may have to apologize for misogynistic tweets he made in 2012 and 2013.
"St. Patty's day weekend is like Christmas for black dudes who like white chicks. Happy holidays boys," the actor tweeted in March 2012.
He followed this with a tweet on June 27, 2013 that included derogatory language about women.
"The problem is ho's aren't what they used to be. If ho game would step up, cats wouldn't get distracted," he said in a reply to a tweet regarding NFL players.
Dixon told CBS This Morning on Monday that “there’s nothing to apologize for” after he gave Pence an onstage earful about equality at the end of Friday’s performance of the musical Hamilton.
He sparked controversy by saying he and the cast were “alarmed and anxious” that the Trump administration “will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights.”
Dixon said that both president-elect Trump and Pence are welcome to come backstage and meet with the cast at any time, adding, “Art is meant to bring people together.”
Trump took to Twitter several times over the weekend to demand an apology from the actor. Pence on Sunday said he wasn’t offended by the message.
Hamilton is a musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote the story, music and lyrics. It stresses the orphan, immigrant roots of first U.S. treasury secretary Alexander Hamilton and has been cheered for reclaiming the nation’s founding story with a multicultural cast.
