Leon Russell died the other day. Not really much of a singer but what a lyricist and melody maker. With songs like "A Song for You" and " Masquerade" and then the great Leonard Cohen one of the finest poets and song stylists leaving us. We have remaining Beyoncé and Kanye West . Seems like music has gone to shyt. I will say this. I was very surprised awhile back when Lady Gaga sang the National Anthem. Beautiful voice and an exception to what I'm feeling. Maybe I'm just an old geezer and living in the past. Excuse me while I go to Youtube and listen to some Sam Cooke and Creedence.
