Ha. I was wondering if someone would call me out on that. Didnt get much sleep last night. Wasnt even my line. One of my teachers in high school said it. The Beatles wrote their own stuff (which was rare back then) and had incredible harmonies. Well, til they started hating each other.

I generally prefer singers with rougher voices. Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits take up a big chunk of the stuff I listen to. I almost always prefer to hear the songwriter singing their own songs to people doing covers.

When you grow up in an awful tiny town with little opportunity "Born to Run" and "Darkness on the Edge of Town" become quite easy to relate to. I didnt get into him til I was 18 or 19. Going to see him next month.

Saw him in concert a coupla weeks ago.

Sure puts most other performers to shame. He played for about 3.5 hours, he'd do a solo so the band could have a break, but he didn't.
