J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter books, has no middle name. Her name is Joanne Rowling but the publishers
decided to give her a gender-neutral name so as many men would by the books as women.. Hence, J.K. Rowling. They got the K from her mother....

My kid has no middle name. My wife took too damn long trying to figure one out and her certificate of birth had to be submitted or some bureaucrat was going to **** fire or something so she doesn't have one. No big mystery.

Since her net worth has climbed to over a billion $ U.S., I will assume that lawsuit didn't go far. I can't think of
an author who made as big a hit in a short time unless it was Ian Fleming.
