I'm a cell phone neophyte. I have an unlocked GSM (4 band).

I've tried to find the 'best' from reading the forums but... I'm still confused.

I'm in Vancouver for 3 months. Things here seem to be very different from European Cell issues (easy to get a pre-paid sim, free incoming calls normal).

My cell usage/requirements are:
Incoming calls mostly, anytime of day
Voice mail
Very occaisional outgoing calls ( I'm late, kind of thing).

I read that Rogers has a one month plan, but I can't find it online. Perhaps Fido was meant.
I'm not sure that a pre-paid sim is the way to go as incoming calls cost as much as outgoing.

All help, advice, much appreciated.

RE: Needing best service

go with fido incoming plan on a no contract. You only have to purchase a sim card from a fido store. the plan includes:

Unlimited incoming calls, text messages
100 daytime minutes
1000 evenings/weekends
per-second billing,call waiting, call conferencing

u'll pay around 37$ total with tax/additional charges included
the additional airtime is for outgoing calls only
