Bell Unable to Activate Nokia 2275?

I've had this phone for 5 days, and for whatever reason (I think this phone must be defective) Bell can't activate it. I've talked with 3 customer service reps, and each time they said "wait another 24 hours, it should work."

The last rep said my number appears as activated on their system but he would get a tech to look into it. Right now, whenever I try to make a call, I get a recorded message saying "Welcome to the Bell Mobility System...." And when someone tries to call me, they get a message saying this number is not in service.

Any input is appreciated, thanks.
