the fone i'm looking at kinda has polyphonic tones, but i have just one tiny query...

as far as i knoe (which isn't very far at all), polyphonic tones are suppose to be like midi audio samples, kinda like more instruments. But what i really what is to convert WAVES into tones (like voice) . Possible? the reason why i'm brave enough to wonder is coz of those polyphonic adds on tv (some of u's may have seen it).

can someone shed some light on this for meh? tell my how ignorant i amz... thanks a bunch!

I'm not so sure about this at this point. It's obviously newer technology so you would probably have to wait until the technology becomes available to cell phones at a reasonable price.

As for converting voice, it may be possible when the technology is more wide-spread at people have the time to create little computer programs to do this. Like midi.
